I am looking for just one label that I can use for my "Just In Series". This is new series of meads that will showcase different small batch meads that we do. I am hoping to create a label that can be a basic template and be used no matter the style of mead made. Ideally the name and ingredients, and description can be swapped out easily. This is going to be a way for me to try new unique meads on a small scale and get feedback from the market. See the attached doc with examples and more details. Check out our website for our current look at feel. I've uploaded my current label designs so that you can see the "depth" to them. I would like there to be some continuity, but this series can stand on it's own. Monks Meadery is who we are and will need to be on this label somewhere- your call where. "Just In Series" is the line extension. "Mocha Mead" could be a placeholder (and I am working on this now) would be the name of this particular product. Check out https://sweetwaterbrew.com/brews/ and their regular line up versus their "hatchery series" if you're looking for a visual on this, it's not perfect but illustrates the concept.
Priority order for the label
1. "Mocha Mead" or whatever you decide to use as a placeholder, please allow some space for text to describe what it is. IE; Mocha Mead: coffee, chocolate and vanilla mead rested on toasted almonds.
2. "Just In Series" could be a badge that's "stamped" on the label so that it has a just labeled or handcrafted feel. This could be circular or rectangular. Maybe it's a ribbon or a banner? I think this could look like the section you sometimes see on fancy wines and spirits where they number each bottle or disclose the "batch number" Maybe it has a "branded" look to it so that it looks like it was burned onto the label? Could it have a been written in wax? Your call.
3. "Monks Meadery" is probably third and almost doesn't have to be stated because ideally the label has enough continuity that it is clear this is a line extension of the parent brand. Some elements from the current labels shows through on this like the name Monks Meadery and the "MM" icon that you see on all my other labels. There is the little space at the bottom where Monks Meadery lives on our other labels and maybe it's fine to stay there for this new series
This description of the series should be somewhere on the label. "Just in Series: Mead is not only a historical beverage but it’s an extremely versatile libation. In this series we push boundaries and explore different styles of mead utilizing a full arsenal of ingredients coupled with different yeast varieties. This batch is just in, please enjoy and make monks a part of your story."
I will need a box where I can put ingredients- doesn't have to be huge but maybe now that we are closer we should put this in. "Ingredients: honey, coffee, dutch process cocoa powder, cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, toasted almonds and sulfites to preserve freshness"
If you've created badges or other places that you want to capture some of the slogans we've used before. These are add ons and don't need to be on the label but I wanted to share just in case...
"story in every drop" is a tag line we use a lot.
"Liquid Divination" is another.
"Georgia's first Meadery"
If you don't have it this are a few things that need to be on the label:
231 Collins Industrial Blvd (if you need to save space 231 Collins Ind Blvd works)
Athens, GA 30601
