We're looking a label for our spice "Blends" jars. We are a lighthearted company that doesn't take itself too seriously. We love to have fun even if it's at our own expense. Our attempt is to appeal to the home cook that wants to experiment with new flavors, but has no delusions on being the next Gordon Ramsay.
That being said we would like to portray that quality, natural ingredients are a top priority as well. Modern with a rustic twist is the best I can describe what we're going for (buzz words that probably give you absolutely nothing to work with, I'm sorry.) In other words, not something generic looking that you'd see on a grocery store shelf.

Although subject to change, there are 6 Blends that are slated to release: Sweet Heat, Honey Cocoa Cayenne, Maple Chipotle Mashup, Nobody Calls Me Chicken, Steak Your Claim, Chimichurri Flurry.
Don't take any stock in the product placeholder pictures on the website. They're likely going to be replaced with pictures of the actual product jars when the time comes.
I've broken up what we're looking for into "Must-Haves" and "Suggestions."
-The logo (see attached)
-The website with something like "Check out more awesome recipes and product info at WaywardGourmet.com."
-The jar we're using is a 9 oz, wide mouth seen here http://www.fillmorecontainer.com/Pr…ductId=198.
-We'll be using the 2"x7" label shown in the PDF attached.
-We have yet to fully flesh out the recipes for each Blend, however we will need a placeholder space for nutrition information, ingredients list. We will be using a linear layout style. I've included an example of one in the files attached.
-Placeholder for barcode.
-Currently we are a residence-based Homestead industry in New Hampshire which has some specific laws when it comes to food labeling. The following is required:
-- 555 Canal Street, Suite 1311, Manchester, NH 03101
--The net weight, volume, in both U.S. customary and metric AND
--The label must state in at least 10-point font "This product is made in a residential kitchen licensed by NH DHHS".
Suggestions (but not absolutes):
-Icons delineating what each Blend is "Awesome For" for ie. Beef, Chicken, Steak, Pork, Fish, Lamb, Baking. Different Blends will have different uses. The website really goes into detail what each Blend is about.
-Certain Blends will be vegan, gluten free, non GMO and MSG free. Icons delineating such.
-Aside from the product name on the label, a color designation for each Blend so varieties can be told apart from afar
-A brief description of the flavor. Example: Awesome on Anything, Your Answer to Boring Poultry etc....
-Our slogan: "Throw Out Your Cookbook!"
-I'd like something along the lines of "We use all-natural ingredients so clumping is normal. Shake up before using."
-"Hand-blended in New Hampshire, USA!"
-Additional sticker that goes over bottle and lid to prevent tampering with product.
