!!!!German Version below!!!!! Hello! I am Paul Wiesmeier and together with my family I run an organic fruit farm in Austria. Meanwhile we could close 3 competitions with a very happy result. Next to our fruits we also produce several products from it, like juice, apple wine, sparkling, vinegar, syrup, brandy, liqueur and many more. During the last years our portfolio of products growth and we got in troubles with the labels for our products. Meanwhile there is one label for about 40 to 50 different products. These circumstances disturb us because it seems asleep to our work and does not bring attention to our portfolio. In this competition I want to get a new design for our juices. In the next step we want to design new labels for our other products too - in a 1-1 room with the winner of the competition. A look over the whole project views that I want to revise 6 product groups and I would also need one design for a packing carton:  Juice Juice 1L Juice 0,25L  Syrup  Apple Wine / Pear Wine  Sparkling  Summerdrinks 0,33L  Punch-drinks (Hot drinks during the Christmas season)  Packing carton In the end we want an complete new Label-line. Each Product group should have an own style but also fix together to the others in a way. But more on that later when we work in the 1-1 Room. Juice: (Saft in Austria) Actually we produce about 13 different variations of Apple juice. All of them got Applejuice as a base and will be mixed with other fruits or vegetables . (Raspberry, Carrot, Cherry,…) Our requirements are an attractive label with a high recognition value which should be easily customized to the different flavours with changing the colours. The maximum size of the label is: 11,5cm high and 22cm wide. Which size and shape the final label got could be chosen by you – these are just the maximum dimensions. Also I want to say that each label need some space in the front centre to write down the ‘flavour’ or ‘type’ of product. (for example: Apple-Carrot Juice, Apple – Raspberry Juice, …) There are no limits to the shape and performance of the labels, we work together with professional companies which print our labels. There is just one thing, for sure the price for one label matters because a product like juice or syrup isn’t that exclusive than whisky or something else where high quality and exclusivity are also transported with the label. Furthermore I want to say that you don’t have to design an closure capsule or something else. In the attachment I will sent to many pictures of our actuall used labels and also a few who inspired us. There is also our logo in the attachment which should also be somewhere at the labels. Thereby we are a biologic working company the note BIO have to be at the center of the label. As a little tipp we are a fan of a two-label system. There should be a beautiful label in the front where everything what must be seen at the first sight is on it and at back of the bottle there is an easier label where all ingredients, organic logos, barcode and all other required nots will be listed. Ich bin Paul Wiesmeier und führe gemeinsam mit meiner Familie einen Bio-Obstbaubetrieb in Österreich. Ich habe mittlerweile schon 3 Etikettenwettbewerbe gestartet und jedem mit einem sehr erfreulichen Ergebnis abschließen können. Mit unserem Obst produzieren wir auch viele andere Produkte wie Saft, Most, Frizzante, Essig, Sirup, Schnaps, Likör, Chips, ... Mit dem stätigen Wachstum unseres Produktsortiment, sind die Etiketten immer gleichgeblieben, somit haben wir ein Etikett für 40-50 verschiedene Produkte. Dieser Umstand stört uns, da der Auftritt eher langweilig wirkt und die Unterscheidbarkeit der einzelnen Produkte sowohl für unsere Kunden als auch für uns schwierig wird. Diesen Wettbewerb möchte ich nutzen, um diesem Etikettendebakel ein Ende zu setzen und eine ordentliche Etikettenlinie in unser Produktsortiment zu bringen. Beginnen möchte ich erstmals mit einem neuen Etikett für unsere Säfte. Wir würden dann anschließend gerne mit dem Gewinner in einem 1-1 Bewerb weiterarbeiten, wo dann die restlichen Etiketten entworfen werden. Im Großen und Ganzen geht es um 6 verschiedene Produktgruppen + 1 Design für Verpackungskartons:  Saft  Sirup  Most  Frizzante  Sommerdrinks  Punsch (Weihnachtsgetränke)  Verpackungskarton Diese sollen eine einheitliche Linie haben, trotzdem soll vom Gesamtlayout eine eindeutige Unterscheidbarkeit erkennbar sein. Aber dazu später, wenn wir im 1-1 Bewerb arbeiten. Saft: Wir produzieren aktuell 13 verschiedene Apfelsäfte. Diese unterscheiden sich in den Geschmacksrichtungen, sämtliche haben den Apfelsaft als Basis und werden anschließend noch mit verschiedenen Fruchtsäften verfeinert. (Apfelsaft mit Himbeere, Apfelsaft mit Weichsel, Apfelsaft mit Karotte, …) Um in Zukunft etwas Abwechslung in die Produkte zu bringen und die Unterscheidbarkeit für den Konsumenten leichter zu machen, hätten wir gerne Etiketten wo das grundlegende Design gleichbleibt aber farblichen Aspekte für Unterscheidbarkeit sorgen. (blau, gelb, rot, grün,…….) Die Maximale Größe der Etikette ist: 11,5cm Hoch und 22cm breit/lang. Welches Maß und Form das Etikett dann schlussendlich hat ist euch überlassen, dies sind nur die maximalen Abmaße. Ein wichtiger Punkt vorweg. Bei jeder Etikette muss zentral im vorderen Bereich Platz sein, um groß und deutlich die ‚Sorte‘ oder ‚Geschmacksrichtung ‘anführen zu können(zB.: Apfelsaft mit Karotte, Apfelsaft mit Weichsel, Apfelsaft mit Himbeere). Bei Formen und Ausführungen der Etiketten stehen uns keine Grenzen, wir arbeiten mit professionellen Druckereien zusammen, die uns sämtliche Wünsche erfüllen können. Jedoch spielt der Preis der Etikette auch eine Rolle, da es sich hierbei um keine hochpreisigen Produkte handelt. Weiters möchte ich noch festhalten, dass keine Verschlüsse der Flaschen entworfen werden müssen. Im Anhang findet ihr Fotos von den aktuellen Designs unserer Flaschen und auch von anderen Designs, welche uns gefallen. Des Weiteren könnt ihr auch unser Logo im Anhang finden, welches natürlich unbedingt irgendwo am Etikett angefunden werden sollte. Dadurch dass wir auch ausschließlich Bio-Produkte produzieren, möchten wir einen Bio-Verweis am Etikett haben. (BIO-Apfelsaft mit Weichsel, …..) Als kleinen Tipp möchte ich noch festhalten, dass wir ein Fan von einer Variante mit 2 Etiketten sind. Wir haben gerne ein wunderschönes Etikett auf der Vorderseite der Flasche wo alle Angaben, die am ersten Blick gesehen werden müssen enthalten sind und dann zusätzlich ein Rückenetikett wo alle Pflichtfelder anzuführen sind wie BIO-Logo, Firmenname, Barcode, Zutatenliste und viele weitere.
