The redesign is open to the designers but am immediate thought with brand-led wine labels is having the name appear large and having some fun with the font. Attached are a few samples of other branded wines with eye catching font-driven labels. This is only one-direction and we are not excluding more graphic or illustrative design directions. Our preferred and regularly used palette is red, grey/silver and black (our standard colours are Red: Pantone 485 or CMYK 0/100/100/10 - Grey is Cool Grey 5 or BLK 25%)
There are legal mandatories which are all covered on the sample of the current label. Appellation and other mandatory information is size and position sensitive (i.e. front or back label). The VQA logo (attached) can reside on the back instead of the front.
Here are the following Mandatories:
Flat Rock Cellars logo (various included) - on front and back
Wine name and Vintage (in this case 2015)
VQA NIAGARA PENINSULA VQA
WHITE WINE/VIN BLANC
PRODUCT OF CANADA/PRODUIT DU CANADA
11.5% Alcohol (this needs to be confirmed)
When we created Twisted from the 2004 vintage it was because we thought our approach to wine was a little different. We quickly found that not only was our approach a little off beat, but our customers were also slightly warped. With Twisted we found a wine that reflects the individuality of each one of us. This unique blend of Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Chardonnay is a testament to the fact that we are all, happily, slightly twisted.

The key design is the new look front and back – we need flexibility to change vintage and appellation etc. from year to year so we would have to receive art we can manipulate in order to update information. We would need to know fonts for mandatories etc.
