We are a small husband and wife run business from Chicago, and we are looking for a fresh, modern, and fun update to our current packaging. We make a diaper changing pad called the PooPoose that makes diaper changing easier and safer.
If you don't have kids, most parents will buy a changing pad on which to change their baby's diaper. Our pad is different in that it gently secures the baby and prevents them from squirming, wiggling, or rolling. This makes the whole process of changing diapers a lot safer, easier, and cleaner.
But, our current packaging isn't very polished. It looks very “clinical.” We would like to create something that is fun and modern.
Our current packaging consists of a 13.75x19.75 inch sheet of cardstock which is folded over the top of our pad into three sections (front, top, and back).
We would like the packaging to be divided into 3 portions (how it is now), with the logo on the front, top, and back portions. (so that when it is displayed on the shelf people can see the logo no matter what position is sits on the shelf).
We have a new logo, which is attached, that we would like to incorporate into the packaging design.
1) Front: This is where we need help. We would ideally like to incorporate the photo of the child on the pad in the front design. Our current design lacks originality. WE ARE OPEN FOR IDEAS. We removed "changing the way you change diapers" from the new logo. We like to use this tag line, but keep it separate from the logo.
The front should say the following features, along with the new logo and photo of the child:
-Gently secures baby during diaper changes
-Washable and removable hook and loop strap
- Less Mess. Easier. Safer.
2) Middle: This should have the new logo, and it should be 3.5 inches. The other sections (front and back) don't have to be exactly the same size they are now; you can play with them depending on how much space you think you need for each part.
3) Back: This should include the logo, warning, barcode, website. No made in the USA flag/made in the USA. We no longer manufacture in the US. The font, and font size of the back warning should be the identical as it is now, as should the language of the warning. The instructional diagram needs to be somewhere in the back.
Back warning should read:
"WARNING: FALL HAZARD
Please use this pad on a flat, stable surface with a minimum dimension of 16 inches by 32 inches. Using this pad on a smaller surface could result in death or serious injury to your child from falling. Recommended for infants weighing 30 pounds or less. Always use the attached restraint system and be sure to secure this pad to the changing surface using the instructions enclosed. Do not use contoured changing pad if it is damaged or broken. To prevent serious injury, always keep your child within arm’s reach. "
The back care instructions should say (including instruction diagram):
"Instructions for Use: Read all instructions before use of the changing pad. Keep instructions for further use. Do not use changing pad if it is damaged or broken. Position changing pad in a safe, flat location. Attachment straps should hang over the backside of the changing surface. Secure the straps using the 2 screws provided. Place baby in the middle of the secured pad on his/her back and secure the straps around the baby’s waist. Do not place straps over nose or mouth. Always keep your baby within arm’s reach. To Clean: Wipe surface with damp cloth and air-dry. Strap may be removed for washing. Machine wash strap in cold water with like colors. Tumble dry no heat."
Thank you again!!!!
