Daily Dose is a weekly vitamin/prescription pill organizer. The product is made in the United States. It will be sold at retail level, with an assortment of products. Each 7 day organizer can be attached to additional organizers for a customized result. The main use of this product is to dispense medicine daily/weekly and we also want to promote healthy living as this organizer can fit several large size vitamins.
We are pursuing mass market retailers like Walmart/Target and CVS.
Our packaging is going to play a big role in standing out on the shelf. We want something modern, but it has to be taken seriously as it is also a product used in the medical industry.
Daily Dose will be multi sku'd - including pill splitters and dosers, but will all use the same backer design. We plan on two to three sizes to keep the line clean and organized and merchandised as a block group at retail.

I'm looking for a simple packaging idea. The pill organizer will either be shrink wrapped onto a card board backer card, that will have a pre cut key hole for peg walls, or slid into a plastic bag that will be white on the back and clear on the front. Pertinent company information can be printed onto the back of the backer card or bag, but the front of the backer card must have the logo, made in the USA and something that makes it a stand out on the shelf (see image 2 as an example of what is currently available). If we chose a design for the plastic bag, the product will float inside the bag. (see image 3 as an example of what I mean by a plastic bag with floating merchandise)
Keep in mind that consumers will have different reasons for purchasing this product. Some are looking for prescription pill organization, while others are looking to keep their daily vitamins sorted.
The last image is one that I just posted. I found it on istock photos, but I find it very intriguing.
Image 1 is one color. The line will be offered in a variety of colors - orange, red, blue, green, yellow. This will allow consumers to customize the colors based on their needs.
