We introduce a nice natural paper box. The purpose of that box is to store the coffee in a nice elegant way. In this box, a 250g coffee bag suits perfectly into.
It’s also possible to use the box for different things - food storage: rice, noodles, etc. or at the desk for pencils and other utensils - instead of brew-up, we later will therefore design additional labels for the customers to put onto the box: eg.: noodles-up, rice-up, pepper-up and so on...
For this contest we expect from you to design the box. There will be two labels sticked on the box and the top part is the first page of a round flyer. (see pictures attached)
Paper: Europapier SH Recycling
Content: the logo and the leaf directly printed on the box, color brown - you can use partial foil or uv-lack if it suits to the idea:
!!! see business card for corporate design !!!
Colors: brown and green + color code for the flavors
General printing idea: I would like it, if the box (when it’s closed) is completely printed brown with the logo and the leaf in green (see business card). When you open the box, you can see just plain kraft-brown, additionally will be some text printed insight. See picture attached.
paper: "antique white WSA"
size: flexible, but not to small to keep stability when it’s closed
• brew-up (=product brand)
• flavor (see flavors above): eg.: “peachy keen – Ethiopia”
• “Füllgewicht: 250g”
"trace BACK to FARM" - Label: for coffees which are directly traded and traceable back to each single farm.
Top of the box:
There will be a flyer included on top of the box. This flyer contains concrete information about the coffee, the origin, the flavor profile, etc.
The top of the box is the first page of a round flyer. For this contest, it’s just about the first page of the overall 6 pages flyer – because the first page is an important part of the whole package.
Please don’t forget to include a color code to differentiate at the end about 9 different coffees. If you find this too much work for the contest we can finish it in a 1-to-1-project.
The flyer and label 1 both can be used for a color code concept.
The box itself must be neutral, due to production and printing costs.
You can use special effects like partial foil, uv-printing or other haptic printing techniques. The packaging will be, besides the logo and the business card, the core of the whole corporate design.
All in all the packaging should have a good combination of looking natural but still very classy. Maybe the effect of the kraft paper makes it natural, and the printing makes it classy. See corporate design map and business card attached to get a overall feeling of the design so far.
Follow up projects (just FYI – keep it in mind but it’s not part of the contest now)
The bag insight the box:
The bag insight will also be natural kraft paper. It will be folded 3 times and then you can see just the upper part of the box. Think about a nice idea how we could create a “wow-effect” when opening the box…maybe a nice slogan or just the leaf or the logo?
The design for the bag could be much simpler, but it must also be possible to sell the bag alone, without the box. See pictures attached.
The 1kg coffee bag:
There will be a classic coffee bag for gastronomy customers as well. It could also be designed much simpler than the box, but still must look premium.
