In the initial phases of the contest, we had other favourites for the win, but when we started to put the logo propositions in context, we quickly noticed the difference between a logo that looks nice out of context, and a logo that looks good in any context.
During the contest, Paul showed that he understood our audience, perhaps even better than ourselves.
The logo was also the one that really stood out as the most distinct one when put in both 16x16px and in 2000x2000px.
All in all, Paul showed a real understanding of branding and how a logo is a vehicle of communication. His input was valuable beyond just a logo.
Highly recommended, especially if you want a solution that will look good for a long time.
