The designed I created is a simple letter treatment. The \"R\" was split up into 3 equal height segments. This gives the illusion of blinds or shades so to speak. The color yellow was very logical and fitting.
I also created a full wordmark that uses this R as the capital. So in applications that would be outward facing, the whole brand name was present.")

I wanted to create something that had a sense of history and heritage, even though this department is relatively new. So I started with a custom monogram of interlocking C's. One of the great things about their name is that \"Central County\" and \"Fire Department\" are approximately the same length. This made it very pleasing and balanced to form a circle around the monogram with their name. And of course, the outline of a maltese cross unmistakably belongs to a firefighters badge.")
