It all started with Superman. Maybe he heard a cry for help from a small child or maybe I was bored flipping through the channels but he flew into my life in 1992 and I have never looked back. Superman began my love for superheroes. I would sit and watch for hours repeats of the old “Super Friends” cartoon show. When my Poppy learned of my love for the heroes, he took me to the old drug store in Elizabeth City and bought me a Batman comic book. Those two events changed my life. Now, as I have go
