The design concept was originally, considering that the client knew he wanted an icon of some sort but wasn't sure of what.

Utilized a downward facing straight razor as the 'A' in Soap. Nothing ground breaking, but we felt it was a great way to add an element of the business to the logo.

The design is sort of a hybrid between a camera shutter, a speedometer, and an eye. Essentially hitting on all of the elements of the application itself.
