Following Luce, Josh, and Jacques, the main plot sees the trio attempting to make a journey across the war torn continent, facing dangers, and try to cross a dangerous waterway to get to the neighbouring continent in order to escape the war.
The characters are escaping for numerous personal reasons. Josh to return home, and Luce and Jacques are deserting the army to escape the war, as the former is a pacifist.")
