One of the ways I meet new clients is to hold open houses for actively listed homes for sale. These could be my own listings or a colleague’s listing. In addition to marketing that particular listing, I hold open houses to meet unrepresented buyers and sellers and pitch them to work with me in their purchase and/or sale. One of the challenges is to slow these open house guests down long enough to chat with me. I typically provide market information on 8.5”x11” handouts; my personal brochure, etc. What I’m wanting is a moderately sized table top sign display that will pitch my services of buyer and/or seller representation. With not too much text, (the more visual the better) I’d like the sign to essentially communicate a call to action: In order to buyer or sell a home, you need a Realtor and Phil Greely is the Realtor to hire!
And yes, you are free to be creative!
I’m open to the size, shape and function (i.e. tri-fold display or one sided poster display with a stand, etc). It will be placed on a dining room table or kitchen counter so it can’t be too big. It needs to be very portable as I will bring it to each open house in the back of my car and carry in my arms along with other materials.
When prospective clients look at the sign, I want them to understand how they are currently touring an open house in a casual manner but if/when they are ready to buy/sell…they should enter the formal process with me as their professional guide. (The below processes don’t have to be included verbatim but the general idea. Buyer and Seller process could be combined if you have a way to do that).
Buying Process (high level):
1. Meet with Phil to determine your needs in buying
2. Locate a property with their specific needs in mind
3. Make an offer
4. Get the keys and move in!
Selling Process (high level):
1. Meet with Phil to determine needs/goals
2. Establish market value for home
3. Prepare home to be market ready in appearance
4. Prepare marketing materials and List home for sale
5. Attract a qualified buyer
6. Close on sale!
Power of my company: Windermere
My company has the number one market share in the city of Seattle. I’d like to highlight that when you work with Windermere, you work with the best. I’m including a chart of our market share and a Windermere logo for usage.
Higher level agent:
I’d like to highlight a few differentiating items about myself…
• CRS designation: Certified Residential Specialist. (I’m including their logo for usage)
o Here is copy describing the CRS designation from their website (don’t want all this text on sign): A Certified Residential Specialist is a Realtor who has earned certification from the Council of Residential Specialists by completing a rigorous course of advanced training and by meeting significant experience requirements. It’s this rare combination that makes a Certified Residential Specialist more than just another real estate agent. It’s the ability to make a real difference in the purchase or sale of your home that places them among the best in the business. Yet despite all the extra expertise you get, a Certified Residential Specialist doesn’t cost any more than any other Realtor. In fact, the skills and know-how you get with a CRS may actually save you time and money.
• I’m based in Seattle but can help beyond as well.

My contact info (doesn’t have to be super prominent as I’ll have other ways to get this to them at the open house too):
