We run a mid size farm that is family owned and operated out of a very small community in Nebraska. We currently grow corn and soybeans, but we are exploring the possibility of shifting to an organic and/or non-GMO operation, and we're creating marketing materials for potential partners and buyers. Ultimately corn and soybeans are the core of what we do today, but our products will likely shift down the road to include other organic crops, soy oil, other vegetables, etc. Our buyers could be anything from other farmers to big companies like Dannon who may want to use our products to feed their cattle or as a key ingredient for tofu, soy milk, etc. Ideally we'd like to be able to use an icon from our logo on all sorts of packaging, including food labels.
1) We definitely like color, especially green.
2) We'd like to de-emphasize barns; we don't really use barns in our operation, so a standalone barn won't work for us for the entire logo.
3) We like references to corn/soybeans, but we'd prefer a less explicit reference so that if our brand takes us to different crops, the logo will still apply. (Also, please note that we do not grow wheat).
