Name: Sherpals Sherpa: Sherpas were originally people from the mountains of Nepal. Nonetheless, due to their success in mountain guidance and help (carrying climbers supplies and heavy loads) in the Himalaya expeditions, the word “sherpa” is used to reffer to any guide and helper in the Himalayas even if they don’t belong from that etnia. Pals: Friends, buddys. Sher: Fonetics = [share]: The concept of sharing is very important and attractive to clients in the collaborative consumption economy. How does Sherpals works? Sherpals is an online international peer to peer platform for e-commerce that connects people who wants to buy foreign products (buyers) with people that are travelling around the globe with some empty space in their luggage (travelers, sherpas). Buyer flow: The buyer chooses a product to buy online and sends this information throw a Sherpals form (www.sherpals.com) so we can send him/her a quotation for the product delivery in his/her city. We send the a quotation to the buyer. The quotation is composed basically by: Product price Traveler cost (how much the traveller wants to earn for the carrying the item) Sherpals’s comision to secure the deal If the buyer accepts, we receive his/her money, buy the product, and send it directly to the traveler’s home, hotel, airbnb, etc.. The traveler carries the product in the empty space of his luggage and delivers it to the buyer once he arrived to the destination. Everybody’s happy! Difference with competitors: International carriers: There’s a lot of countries where international carriers doesn’t have the same efficiency that in developed countries. This is where Sherpals makes a big difference. With Sherpals, you know that the person carying your item is just like me and you, and he/she’s gonna take care of it like the product was his/her own. You also know exactly when and where your product will arrive with the traveler. Friends/family bringing your products: It is pretty common in some countries to ask to a friend to bring you something that you wanted to buy in the country he will be travelling in. Sometimes is better to leave your friends alone enjoying their trips and not getting them worried if they got the right product or not! Other companies like Sherpals: The basic difference is that Sherpals is based in customer service. Keeping the buyers and travelers happy is and will be a priority to Sherpals succes. In each step of the user journey, Sherpals is there to give support. Mouth to ear is a lead key to Sherpals growth today. This gives trust to people and helps very efficiently to get new buyers and travelers. Sherpals begining: Sherpals made his first successful delivery on february 2016. Since then, more than 1000 buyers received their products and more than 1000 travelers earned money travelling. This people are connected and well informed about the world and products all around it. Our clients love to travel, fashion, technologie and new products in general. Our clients are in a big part people buying niche products. Sherpals is a new brand, a new service. For this platform to work correctly we need TRUST. Buyers must trust Sherpals and travelers, and travelers must trust buyers and Sherpals. This is very important. Our logo must show that you can trust sherpals, that every transaction is secure and that you’ll get the right product on time.
