I have just graduated from the Maryland University of Integrative Health, receiving my Masters in Health and Wellness Coaching, with a focus in Integrative Practices (i.e. mindfulness). MYndfulDIGs Wellness is my start-up venture for my new Coaching Company.
The name, MYndfulDIGs Wellness, LLC, comes from the wellness experience I want to create for each of my clients during our sessions, whether in-person, via video conference, or over the phone. The term “DIGs” represents the metaphorical "space" I want to create for my client's during each session, where they are able experience a state of awareness, also known as “mindfulness”, which I have chosen to spell with an emphasis and play on words by using “MY” to create a sense of ownership on the moment for the client. My hope as coach, is that my clients are then able to take their newfound “MYndfulDIGs” awareness beyond our sessions into their everyday lives; thus, discovering opportunities for “MYndfulDIGs Moments” all throughout their day.
Due to the nature of my business and target market, who is the very tech-savvy, professional working, “super woman” mother, doing it all and accomplishing everything in life for everyone (but herself), much of my client base will be attracted via an online presence. This will be accomplished initially through social media, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram for example, to include within a few months the launch of a website as well. It is important that my logo and accompanying material portray a sense of clarity, simplicity, balance, and value, while also being inspirational, welcoming, and trusting. When a client looks at my logo, I want them to feel a sense of peace, calm, clarity, and encouragement.
As it relates to my business name, I would like the focus to be on the word “MYndfulDIGs” with the afterthought being “Wellness, LLC”.
I would like to have some type of image involved in my logo. Please see the images below for inspiration. I'd like to have a person (not Buddha) sitting in contemplation/reflection similar as in the image shown below... I'd like their hands to be resting in their lap with palms up, and a large key in their lap or resting in their hands. If there is a way to hide/incorporate a lotus flower into this that would be a huge bonus!
When I think of the colors for my logo, I want them to be light, bright and clear (think Spring colors), while I’d like the lettering to be more flowing &/or have script fonts &/or traditional serif fonts (e.g. magazines essential light or Nevis bold).
I think it is also important to note, what “MYndful” tools I utilize in my coaching approach. Some suggestions I may give to a client are mediation, yoga, breathing exercises, tai chi, Qi Gong, physical exercise, Holistic Nutrition, Mindful eating, etc. With that said, any approach would of course depend on the individual client.
Lastly, it may be important for you to know where I see my company going within the next five years. In five years, I plan to open my first flagship location, which in addition to coaching, will offer clients daily classes in mediation, tai chi, qi gong, yoga, etc. I also plan to expand my business from one-on-one individual coaching, to also include corporate wellness employee programs (i.e. group coaching). Lastly, within the next couple of years, as I obtain more certifications, I plan to “give back” to the community by becoming a Mindful Educator and volunteering my services to the public school system, teaching the teachers and students, MYndfulness.
