Strike Guru.com (My initial feeling is that the word ‘Strike’ is the primary message with ‘guru.com’ secondary.) - but open
Cuéntanos a qué tipo de público quieres llegar
Strike guru.com as a brand focuses on fighting and particularly striking knowledge and the absolute latest technology for products (I am an ex-boxer, kick boxer and MMA fighter). Our aim is to help everyone succeed in their fitness and fighting goals. The web site will offer fitness and fighting information and guidance as well as product information. More a fight and fitness guide than just a product catalogue.
I want a logo design that will be used on a range of boxing, MMA and kick boxing products, as well as the web site and social media channels.
The logo will also be used on product packaging – this will be the first product launched (see attached image).
In terms of social media, this will be my main marketing channel. In addition to our web site we will be focusing on facebook, youtube with marketing activities, and also the other channels to some degree.

Otros requisitos relativos al color
I personally like black, turquoise and white combinations and I don’t see these in this market place often. (or black, gold and white for premium products). Complex design or very intricate design will not work too well for printing on gloves. Two colours also saves on production costs.

Just as a thought, and I am not hung up on this idea at all, but I am based in New Zealand and really like Maori art (there is also a link with the Maori warriors and the Haka etc) – although there are strict protocols on what images you can use. However, I’ve included some tattoo designs which are safe and derived from Maori art – these focus on scorpions just as a passing idea – maybe the scorpion image could be used in an abstract form? Again, not a biggie, just a thought. I guess I want to avoid the gaudy cliché fight designs I see particularly on fight brands in asia and the east. If you look at the venum brand (competitor 2) in the images I attached – it uses a semi - abstract snake head – this works well and has the fight connotations - venum in the punches etc.
My initial feeling is for predominantly black gloves with either turquoise and white logo/branding, or black with a gold and white design – this could be for an ‘essentials’ range and a ‘premium’ range. Possibly open to a women’s range of gloves and at the gym I visit, lilac seems popular with females – even the fighters. Just a thought at the moment – really open to what you guys do.
In terms of social media images – mma and boxing orientated, with a strong fitness angle. Something that celebrates fight time and athletes at their peak – kind of Nike. Its that pursuit of perfection etc rather than a particular product.
Obviously it needs to be distinctive, modern and attractive to the target audience. I have included images of the competition – hope this helps.
The target audience:
Fitness orientated, box fit through to serious fighters (or those with this dream)
Males tend to dominate the fighting while females dominate the boxercise and fitness area – but there is a crossover.
Age ranges from 16 to 45.
