The ORPHLO brand comes from a combination of part-surname (ORPH) and part-location (LO), which combined together creates ORPHLO.
ORPHLO is an eCommerce company, selling products exclusively online. with sub-brands being created based on the sub-departments in which we sell in (e.g. ORPHLO Home and ORPHLO Sports).
For the ORPHLO Home brand, we will position ourselves as ‘affordable luxury’, by not being a totally exclusive brand, but being a little more upmarket vs the average competitor.
Our target audience for the ORPHLO Home brand is for adults, mid-20’s and upwards who are conscious about the products they buy and the materials they are made from. Our first product to market under this brand name will be an environmentally friendly and fully recyclable alternative to a common plastic product. However, whilst this is the USP for the product, this is not the USP for the brand. Having said that, we are keen to incorporate subtle elements of this idea in the main logo design.
I must stress, I am happy for you to use your creative freedom in creating this logo, treating the above target audience paragraph as a guide and not an instruction.
The brand will need to stand out when printed on different types of packaging (e.g. card, craft paper box, ivory board, linen bag) as well as the products themselves. Therefore, please do not make it overly complex to print!
Brand guidelines – word association:
We will run a social media campaign, setting up on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Therefore, the logo will need to be identifiable in the small circle avatar as well as blown up large on the profile and cover photo.
