I'm looking for a design for a cloth patch. Eventually it will be sewn onto a piece of clothing.
I'd like to have a patch designed which will display our project name and the project number and our company name somewhere
The project is: MSB
The version number is: 1.1
Company name: Mimecast
The project was for a BlackBerry. So something with a smartphone would make sense.
The style i'm looking for is the old 8-bit graphics feel. Kind of clunky looking. If you google 8-bit and look at some of the images you'll get a feel for what I'm talking about.
For the numbers and letters I was thinking the old computer graphics style. The best way to explain it is to show you a link:
If you look at that it's the one labeled "Graphic Computer". Where the letters and numbers have that skinny-to-fat look.
Don't feel like you absolutely have to conform to my idea. If you wanted to put the letters or our company name into the 8-bit theme or make everything look like an old 8-bit video game that's cool. Have fun with it.
You can go to our website to get color ideas but don't feel like your design absolutely needs to use them. For example, green might be a good idea for the letters to evoke that old green-screen feel, even thought that's not a corporate color.
Whatever it is, it must be able to be embroidered onto a cloth patch. So the # of colors cannot be outrageous (and gradients are out of the question) and there's only so much detail you can get with the embroidering process.
