¿Qué idea tienes, qué estilo te gusta para tu t-shirt?
The t-shirt is for an annual charity road race (running and walking race) called the "Giant's Head Grind". The t-shirt design is worn by the runners/walkers including adults and children who climb up a mountain called Giant's Head. The location is in the beautiful Okanagan Valley which overlooks the lake in British Columbia, Canada (photos included below). The event is a memorial race and cancer fundraiser in honour of Christopher Walker who died of colon cancer when he was 29. He was from the Okanagan area. The design should be fun, punchy, inspiring and have printing on both front and back. I have an idea to do something fairly simple on the front of the t-shirt showing the logo and wording - and then put a more elaborate design on the back. The back could be a square panel with a more elaborate image (see the image below for "Dallas Opera presents Jack and the Beanstock"). Since the mountain everyone climbs during the race is called, "Giant's Head" - I thought a play on "giant" and beanstock might be fun (from the children's nursery rhyme, "Jack and the Beanstock"). Images of the landscape could be fun. I have drawn some basic illustrations for ideas but am not tied to these designs and welcome other ideas.
The background colours of the t-shirt will be a light grey, white and black. I have attached a copy of last year's design which had butterflies on the front and the back. The website for the event is: http://giantsheadgrind.ca/
Note there is a new theme this year titled, "Never too Young" or "N2Y" which represents never being too young to get screened or checked for cancer. This can also allow the t-shirt design to have a youthful and vibrant feel.
The t-shirt design must include:
1. Giant's Head Grind Logo (attached) - Primary Logo
2. Rotary International Logo (attached) - Secondary Logo
3. Date: May 20, 2017
4. Wording (Slogan): "Never too Young"
Colouring should be 2 or 3 colours at most (per the colouring of the Giant's Head logo)
Lo que debe evitarse
Please don't use butterflies as we used those last year - the white t-shirt image below (showing CS on the front) is from last year and is for reference only. Also the printing is 3 colour screen printing.
