I'm a fan of the new retro wave style, and a lot of the imagery that comes from the cyberpunk genre. I love the really thematic and expressive purples and blues that those visual styles contain.
The theme of the shirt is 'space journey'. The shirt requires a spaceship, and a destination (planet, black hole, sun, etc). I want the shirt to elicit a sense of a journey, and a sense of scale, without making the spaceship a tiny dot.
The spaceship should look futuristic, and the destination should look worth journeying towards. Other than those two elements, I am open to the composition of the piece. Nebulae, other's that tried the journey and failed, comets, etc, would all be optional types of elements and not required. In the end I want a piece that gives a sense of journey and that prints well.
I would like to receive a multi-layered PSD/TIFF file at the end of the project. I'll sell branded and non-branded versions of the shirt, so the text 'Alpha Coders' should be included, but be able to turned on/off, and the shirt should feel complete with the text off.
The shirt will primarily be sold on Merch by Amazon, so please keep in mind their dimensions when sizing the project. I have attached a couple past images that I have been very happy with and the merch template for your reference.
Printing will be digital. Please ask if you have any questions, and I'll update the info for this with the various answers.
-UPDATE-
Some additional points:
When I mention brand safe/family friendly we will need to avoid any sexuality, and generally avoid things that are too dark/creepy in nature.
I won't be a huge fan of non-sci fi elements. So please keep elements sci fi/space/high tech oriented.
I may have been unclear in my original brief, but the original idea was for the journey to be in progress. Realizing that I may have been unclear on this point, I am open to pieces where the destination has already been reached, but all of the same criteria apply.
-UPDATE 2-
The space ship should be futuristic. It doesn't matter if it's hard edges, smooth, really abstract, etc - just that it feels like something from the future.
I mention really liking the purples and blues in new retro wave and some cyberpunk imagery. An example image that shows off the kind of colors I am referencing can be found at: http://i.imgur.com/XXI3y4g.jpg
Ideally those kinds of colors would permeate the piece, and be used in making the destination look really unique. I want to avoid destinations that look like they could be pulled from our solar system.
Avoid non-family friendly/not brand safe content. Avoid NASA style space ships and tech. The destination should be more interesting than a barren moon. I would like the piece to feel at least semi-serious, so please avoid being overly cartoony.
