Thanks for considering creating a design for our contest. I’ve updated this brief after seeing the first of your designs, in an effort to make clearer exactly what we’re seeking.
Please note that “Help Save Polar Bears in the Wild” is the name of our contest and the purpose of our business. We hope one of your designs will help us achieve this purpose—but this is NOT the text we want on our t-shirts.
We’re looking for text and graphic images that work together as related parts of a single, strong design, simple enough to have immediate impact. We are open as to style. To qualify for consideration, a design must include
(1) One or more polar bears wearing plain green t-shirts. The bears can be cubs and/or adults as you choose. They can be stylized or realistic, noble or cute, but (like real polar bears) they must be a pleasure to look at. We cannot consider any design in which the polar bears are not wearing t-shirts.
(2) Primary text: Green Shirts for Polar Bears. We sell these eco-friendly shirts to raise money for polar bear preservation. “Green Shirts for Polar Bears” is our brand message and needs to be visually coherent. Some early submissions incorporated, in this five word message, as many as four different fonts in varying sizes and colors. This tended to disrupt the message and call attention to the fonts. The most effective designs so far have presented our brand message boldly in a thoughtfully chosen single font, one color.
(3) Secondary (less prominent) text: polarbeargaragesale.com.
