**What we are trying to do**
We are looking to launch a range of book-inspired merchandise. Taking the titles of some great books as inspiration, we want to reimagine their book covers and apply the design to t-shirts and other merchandise.
We are looking for talented and imaginative illustrators to translate book titles into creative and fashionable designs that look just as good as book cover as they do as t-shirts. With regard to visual style, we are open - we have not attached reference images because we really want to see how you creatively respond to the title.
We hope to launch the range in the summer, so please feel free to make bold use of colour.
**What we would like you to do**
We would like to invite design submissions inspired by the following books:
- I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou
- Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe
- Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
- The Lonely Londoners by Sam Sevlon
You can submit designs for one or more of these books as we will be awarding multiple winners for this contest.
It might help to find out a little about the books and the context of the title, but please feel free to go in an alternative direction if your feel inspired to do so.
We will need two variations of the design, one for white/light t-shirts & merchandise and one for black/dark t-shirts & merchandise.
