This shirt is for an Innovation Department focused on technological products/services relating to in-home care for seniors. The theme for our dept this year is "Dare Greatly." The style should be inspiring, daring, and tech-focused. Our mode of operating involves ideation, experiments, testing, and finding solutions.
The design could be typographic only, but the best submissions will include some accompanying imagery. This imagery could evoke inspiration, change, pushing boundaries, trying new things, taking risks, aging in a new way, or futuristic technology.
Conceptual imagery is preferred. If you use a lightbulb or a brain, you should have a really fresh and original take on it, because they have been overdone.
We are innovating in the aging space but we get inspiration from adjacent industries and markets—so the image is not required to be aging related.
The t-shirt will be worn by people in the company who are involved in innovation or who have gone above in beyond in pushing the boundaries of their work.
UPDATE Feb 22, 2017: I was trying not to create too many preconceived ideas around the imagery, but I'm going to provide some here given the high number of lightbulb and type-only submissions. Hopefully this can provide some more direction and some inspiration as well. Think about what it means to "dare." People jumping off of cliffs, off of docks, soaring. Who knows, maybe they even with wings? Flying into, jumping into, or exploring the unknown. Walking a tightrope. Dreaming, using your imagination. Crazy flying machines like Leonardo da Vinci designed, time travel...trying something new. Outer space! What does the "first version" of something look or feel like? What things are mysterious and need exploration? What makes us think of possibilities? The moon, the stars? Sailing off into a sunset? Letting go of something, or embracing something new? How do you make something ordinary into something amazing? Reveal the unseen? I hope this helps provide some inspiration and some more clarity.
