There are a number of directions you can take and I’ve included some past designs and a few other pics to inspire for you to check out. Designs could focus on camp imagery (cabins, pine trees, the sun, daisies, streams, bears, etc…). Designs could just be a very simple and clean version of “Lair of the Bear”. It’s up to you. Designs should also try to reach a balance of a collegiate feel mixed with summer camp. Our campers range from toddlers to seniors and we need designs to appeal to someone or everyone in that range. Designs can also be tailored to the distressed/vintage look, or fresh and crisp. Ideally we will find a couple to a few designs and award multiple winners. Top sellers in the past have been designs that resonate with something local, current, and simple. Keep in mind that a lot of the campers went to Cal and most, but not all of them live around the San Francisco Bay Area.http://alumni.berkeley.edu/travel/l…amily-camp has a great slide show to give you an idea of what camp is all about. You’ll also see a bunch of kids and adults wearing past Lair-wear designs. Also, take a look at MV sports website. They do a great job of making non college themes look college like.Designs should stick to the colors blue, gold (Cal colors), heather grey and white, or variations of those colors, but we will consider other color schemes. Designs should incorporate the one of the following phrases:
- Lair of the Golden Bear
- Lair of the Bear
- The Lair
You could also incorporate the following phrases if you like:
- Established in 1949
- Family Camp
We want to see your ideas, but a couple of ideas you could also explore: We need kid friendly designs and adult designs alike. We would also be interested to see something that is 70’s/80’s inspired (see photos) or something pixilated like the old video games, or take a look at some of the retro inspired Billabong surf tees. Please don’t just get caught up with these ideas though. Feel free to use the unofficial logo bear in your designs. As stated earlier, ideally we find multiple winners, and would love to see what’s going on in your heads. When choosing multiple designs, it’s likely that the designs chosen, though sticking with the same theme, will be quite different from each other. Good luck.
