CLARIFICATION: We've extended this contest a day and increased the prize due to the quality of submissions being made.
INITIAL DIRECTION FOR NEW ENTRIES: Please take the project file (APS-survivor-eps.eps) and make a stylized t-shirt design/scene from it. Please do not take the image/patch and just place it on the t-shirt. Take the concept of this file and make an interesting scene the includes:
1) the airplane in the orientation shown in the file
2) the text 'Upset Prevention & Recovery Training'
3) the text 'SURVIVOR'
4) The APS wings (per the file) or some styled representation of the logo (not the exact logo - Please, don't paste our logo in the t-shirt)
5) If it works with your concept, try to include 'Push - Power - Rudder - Roll - Climb'
6) If the year '2011' can be integrated in some way, that would be great although not critical
(Above Added on 3 May 11)
TARGET: We're looking for a simplistic design that contains some interesting elements of our established theme/brand. Please AVOID just taking our logo, patch and an airplane image of some kind and sticking them on a t-shirt. We can do that ourselves. We're looking for a simplistic artistic concept/designer shirt. EXAMPLE, a good place to start would be to take our patch image (APS-graduate-eps.eps) and break it apart into an interesting (yet simple) scene by freeing up the elements.
A representation of our company theme is shown by an image of our tradeshow booth (small-APS-Tradeshow-Booth-PNG-Mar11 copy.png). I'm including a bigger picture of the aircraft image shown in the booth in the design files called APS-Airliner-Head-On.jpg if it's needed for some reason.
Pilots completing our courses of training have very elite bragging rights due to the 'cool factor' of what they have accomplished. This design needs to be something that will go very well on a t-shirt as a scene. The design needs to integrate: our logo, completion patch, an airplane in an usual flight condition, perhaps a pilot flying the airplane, perhaps an instrument panel as well. The intent is not to be an overly busy scene but to reflect the extreme nature of the training course completed.
At this point, we think we are looking for 'artist conception' graphic/drawing/cartoon (possibly) instead of just a blending of provided images.
There is one phrase that is taught at our company that would nice to integrate into the t-shirt. It is: Push - Power - Rudder - Roll - Climb. The '-' is not important between the words but the words themselves and the order are what matters.
Finally, if the year '2011' could be included in some non-obvious way then that would be nice. The winning designer will have a year-to-year relationship with our business for a minimum of one new design annually - likely much more.
