Design a functional tattoo for Ben Uyeda that turns his arm into a ruler

A tattoo that i will turn my arm into a ruler. I am always losing my tape measure and it would be handy to have my left arm work as a measuring device. The measurements should start from the tip of my pinky. This needs to be functional. In general I like the simple more minimal ideas. The right combination of simple solid bands could be the winner if it is clear that they can provide a variety of different measurement combinations.

i want it to be functional but am open to whatever ideas you come up with. It doesnt need to mark every possible distance. the key ones would be at 12" and 9".
