Cómo Marlies from the Netherlands comenzó su viaje en tatuaje
¿Qué te inspira y qué diseño imaginas para tu empresa?
For years now I have been looking for the right design for a small tattoo on my wrist.
There is this heartshaped image that I really like, but I have been told it is too big for my wrist, as it has too many small details. And besides, it’s much nicer to have an image created!
So now I have a starting point. It does not have to be exactly like that (heart with paisley design), but I know I like it.
For the design, I am looking for these features:
Shape: heart / circle / tree of life
Filling: mendhi / paisley / mandala
Outline: none, but the filling makes the shape (like in the example with the heart)
Size: around 4x4 cm
optional: the name of my son somewhere (Rafi)
optional: one extra colour (some white or turkoise details)
This tattoo is a present for myself. I am 43-year old girl (okay, woman, haha....), from the Netherlands. I have a husband called Salem and together we have a 3-year old son Rafi.
The last decade has been about transitions. From being single, to a wife, to a mother. Currently I am going through a change in my work life, which enables me to develop other qualities. So I have a lot to be grateful for and this tattoo is about just that. And also love, trust, change, development. I get a lot of positive energy from yoga and introspection. I am not drawn to 'dark' or moody images, if you know what I mean. Such images stay stuck in my head forever. I'd like the tattoo to be pretty and positive.
