Becoming 3D (future site at http://www.becoming3d.com) is a web company that has a 2 business models. One is the online sales of 3D printers. Both inexpensive for home use and enterprise/business level printers. The other model is 3D printing strategy consulting and operations for businesses. Designing 3D applications for industries such as manufacturing, medical, construction, etc.
So it is 1) sales and 2) business consulting & strategy of 3D printers. We will NOT be doing any service or repairs

Base the page colors on either logo - green or blue. We haven't decided which we're going with until we see homepage designs.
Site should be very modern looking using web 2.0 style buttons, fonts, layouts. And use photographs.

Homepage. The homepage will need to address multiple audiences. Primary audience is the home user looking to buy a 3D printer for personal use. Probably should showcase a big picture of a printer.
The other two audiences are 1) A business professional user looking for a higher level machine and 2) Businesses looking for information and consulting about 3d Printing. Thinking maybe two big buttons, or pictures on the page that these users would click to learn more.
Lower half of the page maybe a combination of "about us", "what is 3d printing" and then more smaller pictures of printers for sale scrolling down.
But use your own skills and design ideas. You do not have to do exactly what we've described here. We love to see new ideas.
Lo que debe evitarse
Added original logos to the design brief. One blue, one green. Use either. Haven't decided if our color palette will be blue or green until we see the designs.
We have added some photos of 3d printers to the design brief. The Makerbot printer is the main one we'll be selling. There are also tons or other pictures online and also examples of 3d printed items - those might be good on the site as well. Up to you.
