Byte Information Technology needs a new website!
Hecha un vistazo al concurso de Diseño de página web de Matthew Sorvaag
Byte is an Information Technology company that offers a range of services with a strong focus on the business outcome. We are currently experiencing rapid growth, and along with that we have to offer more appealing products and solutions to our clients. We want our brand to be modern, more appealing to the younger generation of current management and engaging. We want to be bright, fresh and friendly, but not geeky. We are an IT company, we like pictures and diagrams, but we do not want the classic cheesy IT pictures of computers, people and keyboards on our site. We want bright things that are engaging! Target Audience: Our target audience is C level management (CIO, CTO, and CEO’s) and senior management in the corporate and government space. Almost all of our business is Business-To-Business. We don’t deal with small businesses or mums and dads at home.
http://kiandra.com.au/ - The home page is bright and engaging, however we feel that the content in the centre is a little bland. http://www.samsonexpressoffshore.com.au/ - The home page is bright, yet clean. The top level menu isn’t bad either (Don't like the drop downs though).
Requirements: We have engaged copyrighters to completely rewrite our website content and now we need a new design to make the new website stand out from the rest. We are pretty open to ideas on layout and design and we will provide a list of reference websites we like, and why we like them. The new design needs to be: - Modern and fresh - Clean yet attractive - Stand out from the rest - A good user experience - Engaging We need to retain our current colours – or variants thereof (but these will have to be approved by the directors). The required design work includes: - Home Page – The home page should be highly visual and engaging. It should be the face of our company and entice visitors to explore the site further. - Inner Pages - The inner pages would represent key areas of the website and each area should have something unique about it. Have a look at kiandra.com.au – each area has its own image. • Solutions and Services • About Us • Products and Technologies • Business Insight • News and Events • Contact Us • Mobile themes • iPhone • iPad Navigation: We like the menu the menu that has been used on the new British Paints website - http://bp-test.bytedev.com.au/Home.aspx . We feel it is well laid-out, clear and has a few images to make it more appealing. That said, the navigation does not need to be like this if it does not fit the design. Call to Action: Each page should have a call to action such as a ‘contact us’ button. It could be a modal form or something different like http://www.yart.com.au/. Their “Contact Yart” stands out on each page. Social badges: We would like to incorporate some social badges, but they should not be the centre of attention.
Technical considerations: The site will be built using HTML5 & CSS3 predominantly using jQuery. The winning design needs to take these constraints and limitations of these technologies into consideration across the different browsers.
