We have engaged copyrighters to completely rewrite our website content and now we need a new design to make the new website stand out from the rest.
We are pretty open to ideas on layout and design and we will provide a list of reference websites we like, and why we like them.
The new design needs to be:
- Modern and fresh
- Clean yet attractive
- Stand out from the rest
- A good user experience
We need to retain our current colours – or variants thereof (but these will have to be approved by the directors).
The required design work includes:
- Home Page – The home page should be highly visual and engaging. It should be the face of our company and entice visitors to explore the site further.
- Inner Pages - The inner pages would represent key areas of the website and each area should have something unique about it. Have a look at kiandra.com.au – each area has its own image.

We like the menu the menu that has been used on the new British Paints website - http://bp-test.bytedev.com.au/Home.aspx . We feel it is well laid-out, clear and has a few images to make it more appealing.
That said, the navigation does not need to be like this if it does not fit the design.
Call to Action:
Each page should have a call to action such as a ‘contact us’ button. It could be a modal form or something different like http://www.yart.com.au/. Their “Contact Yart” stands out on each page.
We would like to incorporate some social badges, but they should not be the centre of attention.
