This project consists of a total of 3 and a bit sites. One welcome page and then three sub sites.
I had a designer for this project who did one site and then disappeared. So I sit now with a site 1/3 completed and customers looking for results. I only need the fornt page designed, I can take care of the rest. Please keep in mind that this is goig to be skinned on to DotNetNuke, so please try keep it to as much of a tabular design as possible.
I do have a budget for this site, as it is for a school and I have already quoted, but there are a total of two sites on this project and the winner of this contest will get the next site and winning this contest WILL lead to more work as I now need a designer.
Clarendon Prep is a girl's only school with students in Grade R to Grade 3. The website needs to reflect the age of the students that attend the school (ages 4 to 10) through fun, child-friendly images, fonts and layout, yet it should not all together alienate the students parents.
The customer requires an eye-catching design, with bold images and plenty of photographs.
The website will be used by the children, who’s ages range from 7 to 10, but it will also need to use it as an information centre for current parents as well as an advert for the school for prospective parents.
The students need to be able to use the site as an access point to further fun, or educational resources on the internet. The students should be demonstrating to their parents how to navigate the website.
The schools colours are #01582E and tartan( I am still waiting for a copy of this from them.) These colours need to be incorporated into the site.
A horizontal menu is required
Site fonts are to be standard fonts with no photo shop formatting, and web safe fonts are to be used as much as possible. Fonts should match the child age group we are targeting but still be appealing to the parents.

http://www.redwelljuniorschool.co.uk - I like the simple layout but especially the slideshow of images
http://web-jpn.org/kidsweb/index.html - I like the child-friendly appearance.
