The landing page should have the logo on top. At the very top of the page on the right hand side should be links to login and cart. Underneath are the buttons to the main pages. Directly under that is the fortune cookie editor.
The centerpiece of the landing page is the fortune cookie editor. The customers can immediately enter their own quotes in the text field. The current editor needs a redesign so it is more clear to the customers how to edit their quotes (text size, font, color, emojis). An idea would be to have a simple open fortune cookie with the empty text field in the middle. This is how it looks on the current website, but we are open to new ideas. (see below) As soon as the customer starts typing, a drop down menu with these options folds out.
Also important in the ordering process is the ‘fortune cookie marking’. The customers need to decide if they want to be able to tell their customized fortune cookies apart, as they will not be able to see the quote from the outside. They can do this by indicating that they want a ‘cookie marking’. This is a simple slip of paper with the text that is inside the cookie, attached to the wrapping of the individual cookie. This way they can distinguish their cookies. The marking is easily removed and the customers can gift the right cookie to the right person.
The next section is an info section in three images. There should be space for a description within or under the images. The first image explains the USP: customizable fortune cookies from one piece (no minimum order). The second image contains an instruction for the ‘cookie marking’. The third image is a short checklist about the shipping process (free shipping on orders over 25€, carefully packaged, fast delivery, surprise guaranteed,…).
Under that should be a section with seasonal offers. This can contain an emotional image and a list with current quotes and links to products that fit the season or certain holidays.
The next section is a slider with the most popular quotes that customers can scroll through horizontally. They should be able to click a button on the individual quotes to put it directly in the shopping cart or go to the collection of top quotes.
The next section will contain previews of the sets you can order. There should be an image indicating what occasion the set is for. A set is a preselected collection of quotes and boxes that customers can order as a whole or edit to fit their needs. This can also be realized as a slider.
The next section is again a slider like the one containing the most popular quotes, but this time for our gift boxes.

Then there should be two footers. The first footer should contain logos and links to our social media pages and logos of payment methods. Underneath that, links in columns. In one column, links to basic information on our company (jobs, shipping costs, the team, allergy information, contact for companies,…). One column containing occasions for gifting our products (wedding, birth, Christmas,…). One column with tips.
The overview page should contain four large images with the four categories of gift boxes we offer (Asia boxes, small boxes, big boxes, and special products). Underneath we need the slider with the quotes that is also on the landing page.
When the customers choose one category, they get a detail page of, for example, small boxes. There they will get an image of a small box, and next to it the available color options for the box (in the case of Asia boxes, the available size options) and the available ribbon colors. The image shows the box without a ribbon. The preview image changes to show the customer’s choice. A price is set for the chosen box, a ribbon costs extra. The customers can change the amount they want to order and add to cart. Underneath again the slider with popular quotes and a link to the editor.
The overview page should contain images to represent the different occasions (wedding, birth, Christmas, declaration of love, valentine’s day,…). Underneath should be the slider with sets and the slider with quotes from the landing page. When the customers click on one occasion, the get an overview of the relevant sets for that occasion.
When the customers click on a set, they get a detailed overview of that set. For this, you can refer back to the detail pages for sets in our current shop. This page needs a clear redesign. It should clear to the customers that they can edit the sets to fit their needs: add or remove quotes and boxes, and it should be especially clear that they can also edit the given quotes to personalize them. They need to have the option to add the entire set to their cart, or some of the given items. Underneath we need the slider with gift boxes.
Collection of top quotes
The overview page shows a collection of occasions/topics to choose from (top quotes, love quotes,…). For this you can also refer back to the current shop. This page also needs to be redesigned. Underneath we also need the slider with gift boxes.
When the customers click on an occasion/topic, they get a list of quotes. It should be clear that they can personalize the quote or put it in the cart as is. Underneath we also need the slider with gift boxes.
General information pages should contain images and texts and the sliders with quotes, sets, and boxes and a link to the editor.
Every page should have a button to go back to the previous page. All pages should have logo, header and both footer.
