1486 Tremont is a new building going up in the Mission Hill neighborhood of Boston, MA. This neighborhood would currently be considered “pioneering”. Our goal is to build new buildings and market them in a fashion that will establish the area of the Mission Hill as an attractive, fun and convenient place to live in the city. While we have many buildings in the neighborhood this is our first large scale project. Target audience 1) Renters. They are mostly singles, some couples, just a few years out of college. Average household size—1 to 2 persons. Predominant age range of adults—25 to 44. • Characteristics: Unconventional, ethnically-diverse, upper-middle-income households. The heart of the “creative class.” The social and political avant-garde; one-third are gay. Executives; students; actors; artists; writers; boutique owners; public-interest advocates. • Housing Preferences: Upscale urban neighborhoods, often near universities. • Consumption Patterns: Everything online. Concert-goers. Use mass transit. Watch the Independent Film Channel. Read Wired. Listen to NPR. Some may know our work for its high level of design and craftsmanship. 2) Neighborhood leaders and stakeholders This group is made up of long time residents of the neighborhood, elected officials, local business owners, abutting property owners, local service organizations, NGOs and surrounding institutions. This is a diverse group whose common interest is the neighborhood. The group is diverse in age, socioeconomic background and demographics. It is important for this audience to perceive this project as an improvement to the neighborhood.
