We are a small quantitative investment advisory/research firm catering exclusively to a small and very select group of sophisticated large institutional investors (pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, large corporations and ultra high net worth individuals/family offices). As our funds are not available to the general public, there are tight regulatory restrictions against us soliciting/advertising online, so our site should be very simple, clean and professional looking, but not very sales or advertising heavy.

It should be very clean, simple and professional looking. can't be sales are marketing heavy. dark red/maroon and grey as theme colors and the logo and quantitative formula image that appears on our current website should be integrated into the design. If City-scape images are used, it should be Boston and/or Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA as opposed to NYC or other cities.

Lo que debe evitarse
Since the reddish/maroon color theme, logo, and mathematic image that appear on our current website are also branded into a lot of our existing marketing materials, we would like to stick to that theme and color, but make it look better than the current site. Again, since we don't and can't market our investment products directly to the general public, the site design should not be heavily sales-oriented and have the appearance be that of solicitation. Instead we would like the focus to be very concise high-level of information about the firm with a heavy focus on research published by the firm's principals and basic information about how to contact us for more info and career opportunities within the firm. Also, we do not currently engage in social media for business purposes here, so social media links/integration should not be a part of the site design.
