We need a beautiful site design!

ParkAlbany is the web site for the Albany, NY Parking Authority. We're looking to break the stereotype of bland, boring government web sites and launch a clean, attractive, Web 2.0 style renovation for our current site. The goal is to make it much easier for everyone to find out what's going on around town, and where to find safe and affordable parking nearby.

Our target audience is everyone that works or visits Albany, NY. From the family that's coming in to town for a sporting event or show, to the business person who commutes to work each day, or the employer who wants to provide a reliable parking environment for their staff. If you find yourself in Albany, we're here to help make it easy for you to find parking.

We're looking for a very clean, attractive, and stylish design. Bright and inviting. Our existing site (http://www.parkalbany.com) is too bland and drab, so we want to relaunch with a much more vibrant design.

Attached are copies of our logo, and a mockup for the general style of layout we're looking for. Ignore the colors in the mockup, and just focus on the general placement of items.

Our inspiration is the fantastic web site recently launched by the Toronto Parking Authority (http://www.greenp.com). We love the look and feel of this site, and how vibrant it feels. Please try to capture this elegance in our design as well.

In addition to designing the home page of the web site, the designers we favor will also be asked to produce a design for one of the content pages as well. This will give us an idea of how the entire site will look once the visitor leaves the home pages and explores the web site.
