You will notice by joining at the test site, that a simple black design with a clean and simple navigation bar has already been implemented. What is needed is a page in place of the default Landing Page of New York City. This will actually reside AFTER log in.
The winning design works within the current simple black theme, and uses the same navigation bar. The page should not be 'loud' but the cartoon characters encountered (if you play a few rounds, you will meet them, and I have also attached them all in .jpeg), can be used to brighten things up in places, I imagine. I can provide large quality images of specific characters if needed. Let me know.
The text is white (but perhaps black some places, if other colors and black is used in places)
The basic HTML colors, besides white and black, are attached.
The page must be 1240 pixels in width. The height is more flexible, and may be longish, to fit things in, in a not-too-cramped-way..
While Aquinium offers users the opportunity to play games, it is also serious. It is science at the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, and economics. It should be sober, and perhaps witty.
You will notice these two competitors are almost copies of each other. Aquinium must be different.
Graphics showing (perhaps at the bottom) users currently logged in, and members in total, is a good idea.
Right now there is only one game, where users must judge the area of red circles. In the future, the idea is that users can play games where they judge things like:
- 3D rendered shapes (of different sizes)
- 3D rendered cars (overlaid with different degrees of rust and scratches)
- 3D rendered apples (with different levels of ripeness and decay).
- 3D rendered gems,
- 3D rendered precious metals.
Perhaps those things can serve as inspiration.
I like the idea of playing with different shades of black or grey for the background (as shown in the image of the black car attached)
