The Rogers Hotel, rich in history, no longer functions as a hotel. However, we have restaurants, a barber shop, and a cigar bar in the lower levels and the former hotel rooms have been renovated to host small businesses such as a spa/massage parlor, a therapist, among many more. We want this website to function as a business tool - that is, advertise space to potential renters that is available within the Rogers Hotel. However, we also want for it to give visitors a strong idea of what The Rogers Hotel is all about. We would like for that to include a listing of all of the businesses that are already there. Essentially, we want half to deal with business and half to serve potential customers/visitors. Please visit http://www.jefferson-tower.com to see an idea of how we want the sections to be divided.
¿Qué idea tienes, qué estilo te gusta para tu web page?
We want it to go with the logo that we have just created - so, don't take the color scheme from the current website. We want for it to be easy to navigate, with clearly divided sections like the Jefferson Tower website (jefferson-tower.com). It should be modern in the sense that it doesn't look like a website from 2001 - but we would like for the design to capture the classic, 1920's vibe of the hotel. As of now, we are liking the bronze/gold/white color scheme. There is a chance that we would want to see some green mixed in there at one point (that is kind of the town's "color".) I will attach a few pictures of the actual Rogers hotel - we aren't opposed to photography used in the design, as long as it looks classic and professional.
Descripciones de páginas
Right now, we are just looking for the homepage. When we pick a winning designer, we will work 1-to-1 to design the rest of the pages. The tabs that we want it to say (for now!) are as follows:
About Us ( separate from the main tabs- the real estate stuff)
Blog (again, probably separate from the main tabs , next to about us)
Contact Us (separate from main tabs)
All of these "tabs" can be named something different to sound more professional, but that is the content that will be under each page.
Once we pick a winning homepage that has the best design for us, then we will continue the 1-to-1 aspect of this and create the remaining pages.
Lo que debe evitarse
No orange coloring. We like the black and gold! Some of the green ones
have worked out nicely too.
This hotel was a classic - and also has a creepily haunted history. Bonnie and Clyde stayed here and there are many, many ghost stories - and things eerily happen every now and again. We have repurposed the formerly closed hotel to host a variety of small businesses and fine dining. This is in the small town of Waxahachie, TX- so keep that in mind- but we are looking to redevelop the area much like we did the Bishop Arts District in Dallas, TX. The website should be modern in a sense that it is easy to use and looks professional, but still has that vintage/southern classic charm.
