At the time my current site design in 2001 was ahead of its time: innovative, unique, artistic and striking. The flash on the homepage was really innovative at the time. Today it's out of date. The flash incorporated on the site can only be seen by flash users. I'd like the new site to be just as unique and interesting as it was then, with easy navigation. I'm not interested in anything too generic. I like striking, eye catching, sophisticated and artistic design. I'd like a site that pushes the boundaries of what is known to be possible on the web. Whether it be the design aesthetic, usability, interactivity, sound design, or value that the site provides, we all know what it's like to stumble across a masterpiece. The sites I've referenced below depict a bit of these elements that attract me. I'm open to something I haven't considered though so if your design mind has something else to contribute feel free to 'wow' me and bring it somewhere else. Submit more than one entry if you are allowed to. These instruments are unique, the best ever made and I'd like my site to reflect that same level of 'standing apart' from all others.
*What the homepage should entail is when a customer comes to the site they can easily access the different products: marimbas, xylophones, vibraphones etc (see current malletshop.com page for example).
Currently my product pages display mouse over photos only. I want larger photos and I want to incorporate audio/video as a mouse-over as well.
