Web Design Standards: We are interested in designers that can deliver unique designs by synthesizing two primary design frameworks. First, we would like the front-end color palate and aesthetic to be consistent with standards outlined in the U.S. Web design standards: https://standards.usa.gov/
Second, since LEAF is a dynamic business application, we would like designers to fuse the U.S. Web Design Standards with concepts from the Material.io framework (https://material.io/) to support touch and mobile-friendly app design.
Colors: LEAF is a very adaptable business application, so we want to work in a lot of neutral colors (i.e. white, light grays). Our internal customers will often want to customize the color palate on their own. For this re-design of the "basic" LEAF application, we would like to work in accents from the colors in the LEAF logo (green, blue, and gray). Green should be used sparingly on each page but be very noticeable as a powerful accent when included.

1. Home page: This is the screen the internal customer/end-user will see whenever they go to their LEAF site. This page is equivalent to the gmail inbox page for the average gmail user. The goal is for the end-user to "at a glance" understand what requests are in draft state, in the process of completion, or completed.
2. New Request Page - the end-user clicks on "New Request" from the Home Page and is greeted with this screen where they create a title for their request (Step 1), and choose the Request Type (Step 2). The goal for this page is to collect a few key data elements (e.g., Employee Service, Request Title, and Request Type) before clicking "Next" to confirm selection of their form and proceed to the Data Entry page.
3. Data Entry Page: This is the common view generated dynamically for the end-user by the LEAF platform "Form Builder". End-users probably spend more time in this set of screens than any other on the platform. The goal of the Data Entry area is to intuitively guide the end-user through the form, to prompt them as to what fields are required and their progress completing the data entry.
The design should evoke these things: Simplicity, cleanliness, authority, trust
