We want a new design for the Employer section homepage at http://www.e4s.co.uk/employer/
We prefer a simple and professional design. Also, we're looking for designs with a high focus on conversion; conversion being that we want to convert visitors to the site into buying customers.
The main call to action for the Employer homepage is to get employers to register (so they can then post an ad). Remember, this section of the site is aimed at Employers (business owners who want to hire students), not students themselves.
We've created a wireframe to help you get started which you can download at http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4829802/wir…mepage.png
The wireframe gives you a suggested layout of the page and you can use the copy in the wireframe in your own designs.
If you think you have a better way to layout the page than the way depicted in the wireframe, feel free to show us your ideas. If you come up with something better, we'll be more than happy to use it.
What is missing from the wireframe is a footer. The footer is an important part of the design and we'd like a large footer 2 (horizontal) levels deep. The 1st level would display titles & summaries of latest articles. The 2nd level (at bottom of page) would include copyright information, main navigational links and company address.
Logo is attached which also shows our ‘blue’ brand color.
Other examples are listed in the “Websites for Inspiration” section below, with notes on what we like about each website.
Imagery – assume a budget of $100 or so to buy images from sites like iStockPhoto.com. Feel free to include images with watermarks in your designs. If you find images that we can use for free from the various free-image sites, even better. The icons in the wireframe are from http://www.iconfinder.com
