WAA for care
WAA [We are accountable] for care, provides services for nursing homes and nursing home chains which allows them to track outcomes through trended and bench-marked data. This data allows them to see right away how they might improve upon their own patient care, and also allows them to show this data to hospitals, ensuring accountability in care, and giving those hospitals a reason to refer patients to them, rather than others.
http://www.pri-med.com - The top most design is something that I like here, though preferably less cluttered.
Overall, we would like a website design that confers professionalism, but addresses the user in a personal way. The most important aspect should be accessibility; we want users to be able to find the information that they need right away.
Site design:
{The following should be the top-most section of the site}
Left top corner – Logo
Top heading – We Are Accountable
are you?
Top right – Login button (NOTE: Login page should be the simplistic one that is the current homepage, the design of this page will be done by us)
Tabs – Home, What we are, Who we are.
Home page
{The homepage should introduce our company in a dynamic and personal way, and give a brief description of what we do and the ways in which we are of value to clients.}
Page Content -
[In big letters corresponding to the logo] We Are Accountable
[smaller letters, easy going] And we want you to join us.
The healthcare world is shifting
In all areas, Accountability is being sought as a mechanism for cutting costs and improving patient care.
WAA, We Are Accountable, is your way to prove, and improve accountability within a nursing home setting.
By tracking outcomes across multiple variables, we give you the data to back up your efforts to improve patient care, and we provide the tools to show these outcomes in a dynamic and intuitive way.
We Are Accountable, and we can help build your accountability; Email us at WAA@WAAforcare.com and take the first step.

What we are - About Page
{The About page should give a more detailed view of what we are, and how our software works for clients.}

Outcome Tracker Software is a Proprietary product of Paragon Clinical – WAA For Care (We Are Accountable For Care), it is a proprietary, web based system software for tracking care outcomes and driving accountability for care which collects patient specific data longitudinally over the course of the resident’s nursing facility stay. Specifically, WAA tracks each patient’s events (ED visits and hospitalizations) by related physicians, nurses, patient location, nurse practitioner assessments, visits, and diagnosis, and is able to graphically show this data in tables that represent trended outcomes. This allows a facility to monitor their hospital readmission rate and maintain a real-time comprehension of their status in this area. Tracking trends of care related to clinicians, time of day, shift, and on call physicians are only a few of the applications of this software. Secure and encrypted access to this software is available via any web browser or web-accessible device, and users are given access based on their roles. Three levels of authority are anticipated; facility, regional, and global view – each of these levels will allow for access to a greater number of facilities – providing greater perspective of outcomes data, and fostering even greater cross-facility analysis of outcome trends.
The cost of our services include an initial bundled fee covering installation, customization, data entry, and training, for $500, and the cost of continued service is $100 per month, per facility. Projected models have shown that, should a facility only get one additional patient from the use of this software, for the duration of a month, it will incur a net profit for that facility over an entire year of software use.

Attached are the Logo and the Icon, the two colors used in them should be something of a guiding rubric for the colors on the site, though it need not strictly adhere to them.
The fonts used in the Logo are as follows:
the 'We' and the 'for care' are in Monotype Corsiva
the 'A's are in Copperplate Gothic Light
the 're' and 'ccountable' are in Corbel
Our primary customers are Owners and administrators of nursing homes in Connecticut. In general, they are male, about 40-60 years old, they are well educated and often are doctors themselves.
In terms of values, as crass as this might sound, typically a nursing home owner is half marketing manager and half real-estate manager, in other words, they care about money and their facilities prior to patient care. The value of this software is really that it allows them to keep their patients in their care for longer (as they loose money for hospital re-admissions), and that hospitals are now, due to recent healthcare legislation, looking for ways to avoid having treated patients come back to the hospital - they're looking to send these patients to institutions with low re-admission rates, this software provides data to back up those rates.
So while all of this is to the direct benefit of patient care, for the administrators and owners, its about money.
Because of all that, although we are dealing with healthcare, and there is a strong personal aspect to the field, here we want to look professional, reliable, and accountable - strictly business.
