We a group of like minded, fun people, that create branded content, social media, interactive and traditional advertising, SEM, SEO -- all driven by consumer behavior strategy, backed by quantitative evidence that inspires world-class creative in whatever the media space that will make the cash register ring for our clients. Our current agency site is : bakerstadvertising.com. We are smart, fun, funny. Work in a cool space, right along the Embarcadero waterfront. Located in a historical building. Address is 15 Lombard Street. Baker Street comes from Sherlock Holmes. His office was at 221B Baker Street. We believe in unlocking the secrets for clients that can lead to success. That means mining the minds of the consumer and making some content/creative that's compelling, memorable, has a call to action and makes, as said above, our clients cash registers sing. We're independent, but have big agency experience. We've all worked at all those great places that people work at (FCB, Chiat, DDB, Ammirati, Riney, etc.) ... but, want to be part of a team, not just a member of the staff. We're proud of our location and the San Francisco advertising heritage that we're a part of ...
We want to entice potential clients to hire us. These are chief executive officers, chief marketing officers, marketing people, brand managers, entrepreneurs. Most of them will look at our agency for the work and the people that are here. Probably more than half of the decision is made on each of these. The questions these prospects will want to have answered, can they (us) do good work? What kind of people will we be working with? Do they do the kind of work I need? Who are their current clients? What partners do they have (in areas that we don't specifically do in-house)? Where are they? What do they do for fun?
We want to have a home page and site that is easy to manage and allows for internal staff updating. We want to be able have the site optimized for search engine marketing ... so, when built, we'd rather not use Flash. We need to be authentic, relevant and trust worthy. We are adults, not crazy hooligans. We are not afraid to show the personal side of us. Maybe friendly bios or editorial type photographs, rather than stodgy portraits. Existing logo on our current site, isn't up for discussion! The colors of logo, also as is. The "discovery, creativity and proof" are mandatory. The "we crack the code" can go away. We will need to eventually build out the design to include case studies, client logos, partner/staff bios and photos and showcase some of our work.

The two pages : Home page and a content page The have to haves : nav buttons in an architecture that makes sense some type of web form for contacting us Facebook, RSS, LinkedIn, Twitter & email buttons and other social apps as appropriate ability to have photos/etc be updated by reloading page (we will build a library of work and content to use for this) Maybe consider a RSS feed into site that includes image, time and temp of where we are, to make it authentic and relevant and automatically updating on it's own.

www.bakerstadvertising.com It's a little hard to nav. It's impossible to update. And, not at all, SEO/SEM friendly! Plus, little too boring. We do like our logo. We do like the blue.
