I am looking for a site design that inspires reflection and that also captures people's interest. I don't want something chaotic or overcrowded but rather elegant and simple while still conveying a very contemporary sensibility.
The attached "Initial Design" is meant as a starting point for designing the site; I like the simplicity and clarity of this design. However I also like the richer colors of http://www.jaysongaddis.com and encourage designers to draw from these two samples, experiment, and surprise me.
I do not plan to use the logo that appears in the initial design to the left of the name "Joshua Leavitt Coaching" at the top of the site. Instead I want to use the Sanskrit characters for the word "sahaja" as a logo; I will eventually also want business cards with this as well.
I am targeting well-educated professionals & business people who have been successful in conventional terms but are not necessarily fulfilled by "success"; also anyone with a sincere interest in self-development, a hunger for growth and authenticity, and a desire to reach their potential. Ages would be 30's and up; people with some psychological sophistication & financial means.
I hate most coaching sites as I find them shallow, superficial, gimmicky, or full of New Age babble. I intend for the site to convey substance, authenticity, expertise, professionalism, and also to provoke and even haunt people with questions that make them think twice about their lives and what is possible.
