This is a Penny Auction website that is exclusive to gift cards. Ideally we have three target markets. (1) People looking to buy gift card for cheap prices in a penny auction format, (2) people looking to sell giftcards for 15X the final value, and (3) people looking to "flip" cards by winning them on the penny auction for cheap, and then selling them in an arbitrage fashion for the 15x the new selling price. The "flip" arbitrage entrepreneur will be our biggest market. We would like to use the tagline "Buy Low...Sell High"
¿Qué idea tienes, qué estilo te gusta para tu web page?
- Simple, Simple Simple. So many penny auction sites are so busy and are confusing to first time users. I want to have a simple design that is simple and inviting to people that want to make money by winning & flipping cards. I like photos and collages of gift cards, but we have to be careful not to get into trademark trouble. I kind of like a simple colour shceme, maybe blue and red, but I am just throwing that out there. Im open to any clean colours that go together. The logo I include is a good starting point because it says gift card, has a star, and most importantly has the penny.

Home Page - I want a page that is simple and informative. I need the excitement of live Penny auctions, but maybe just a small sample with a link to all of the auctions. I want the first time viewer to be directed to instructional information/videos for their topic of choice. This navigation needs to be very simple to find and follow. I would also like to maybe have a small chart showing our cumulative payouts and a list of the highest paid members usernames (i have no problem manually entering that information on a daily basis). This can be static. Ideally people will be coming here to make money, I want it to be very very simple to get started.
Lo que debe evitarse
I do not want to insult the viewers by showing "bargains" with no transparency of how much they actually spent in bids. This site is about buying and selling giftcards, not housewives "winning" flatscreen tv's for $14.45 using up 1500 bids. We are the next evolution of penny auctions, not the same old same old.
I like easy to follow steps. Step 1, Step 2, etc. in big slightly cartoonish fonts and graphics. I want it to be so easy and self explanatory that a 5 year old could easily start buying and selling cards.
