Background Information to the website design:
PMG Asia Pacific is an Australian based business-consulting firm that delivers increased productivity, improved efficiencies, cash flow and better asset management to its clients. We actually deliver benefits; we don’t just write reports (ie we are unlike many of the large consulting firms who just deliver reviews and reports. We roll up our sleeves and do the work as a business partner with the client).
We provide training & certification in Lean Six Sigma (LSS, a process efficiency and change management methodology) through our alliance with Deakin University at a Yellow Belt, Green Belt and Black Belt level, and also do some training on behalf of AGSM, part of the University of NSW.
We partner with our clients and work with them to select and run projects to deliver business benefits. Our team are all highly skilled and experienced and bring many capabilities to our clients in a range of areas including Lean Six Sigma, project management, executive leadership and strategy, risk management, financial analysis, engineering services and information technology.
We pride ourselves on delivering continuous improvement and business benefits with significant return on investment at a fraction of the cost of the larger consulting firms.
We are a fast growing small company with four LSS Black Belts and three LSS Green Belts on our team. We’ve done work in Defence, Banking, State and Federal government departments, Health, Utilities (ie Power generation, Water services, Power Networks, Waste Water, Gas), Mining and Retail.
We have recently changed our company name and company structure and have just got a new company logo and business card, and would like to develop a supporting company website. People come to our website for information, see testimonials, see our team, understand the benefits of what we can do. We don’t want an e-commerce website as we don’t see products.
I’d like to have five pages to the website, as set out below. I want it to let very professional, modern, eye catching with large images, lots of white space and few words but powerful words. I want it to be a modern website design, not something that looks 10 years old. ’d like it to have links to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, have the ability to post short videos so people can see our team and watch what we do and listen to testimonials from our clients.
I want there to be a vibrancy and things on each page that make people stay on the page to watch it – images coming and going, ability to watch a video, read words as they fade in and out with the images, etc.
I’d like to use colours that complement our company logo.
The four pages that I would like to develop are set out below:
1. Home Page
An introduction to our company. I want it to be like the cover of a book, or a poster, with large images to make strong impressions. Have the images change with simple powerful sentences on top of them about what we do and deliver. Want there to be movement on the Home page to make people stay on the page and look at the different images and messages. Have a mixture of images including people, market segments, city and rural settings with recognisable Australian and Asia Pacific urban and rural scenes. Want to show we work across all markets and locations in Asia Pacific.
I want it be very clean and simple with white space. Don’t want people to have to scroll up and down, have the whole Home Page appear on the computer screen at once. Do not want it crammed with lots of things - simple is best.
Would like ability to put short intro video on the Home page website where our team and some of our customers talk about the benefits and features of what we do and our values.
2. What makes us Different
Normally people would call this link and page something like “Consulting Services”. I want to give it a stronger name to make people more likely to click on the link to read what it says.
This page is again to be very clean and simple, with images and strong simple sentences like the Home page.
I want to show that we deliver continuous improvement, productivity and significant hard benefits (ie. sales growth, improved cash flow, cost reduction, working capital and asset management, etc) and soft benefits (process efficiencies, culture and change management, increased customer and employee satisfaction, OH&S and environmental benefits) through our business partnering services.
I want to use the process image (image uploaded) to show that we use both project management and Lean Six Sigma processes to lead and deliver project outcomes. Could you please do a better version of the process image – I did it in Powerpoint to show you the design concept.
I want to make a point that we focus on the control and reporting processes to ensure the improvements stick and we measure the realisation of the business benefits after we have completed the projects.
I also want to show that we increase our client’s capabilities by training, mentoring, assessing and certifying their employees in Lean Six Sigma.
Also want to show that we are specialists in Lean Six Sigma, project management, risk management, executive leadership and strategy, risk management, financial analysis, engineering services and information technology.
3. Our team
I want to have some points about our key company values, and then below have passport sized photos of each of the team members with a short bio for each person. I would like it so people don’t have to scroll down the page, so we have maybe two columns of passport photos and bios to get it all on one screen page.
4. Contact us
A contact us page with an area for people to fill in queries and be able to email us questions, etc plus have our PO Box details and contact phone number.
