We design and build furniture. Pirate Duck Designs is a small firm focused on selling locally around the San Francisco Bay Area and expanding out to the rest of California. Our clients are design conscious consumers that are looking for unique pieces for their homes. We like to be innovative with our designs and create pieces that make people ask the questions - 'what is that?' In conjunction with our standard line of products, we also do custom work for clients. Our customers are primarily urban and semi urban, who live in apartments and smaller homes. Within the age range on 20-45.

Being a design company, the look and feel of our website is very important. It needs to be visually appealing. We are also a fun a quirky company, and would like that to come through on our website. We want to come across and being fun and approachable. Bold colors, sketches/drawings of our products and simple product shots are elements we would like to use. Our currently website uses a lot of yellow (which is present in our logo), but we don't want to lean so strongly on that single color.

1) Homepage: -Large hero shot of one of our products -Left to right scrollable of our best sellers/favorites -Our Story -There will be sub pages - About Us; Our Values; Mission; Collaborations; and How We're Different. All these pages will use the same design as the Home Page (smaller image at the top instead of hero shot). 2) Shopping Mall/Pirate Duck Creations -At the top it will have all our various categories (Work From Home, Tables, Benches and More, Bestsellers, etc.). The initial page will have our best sellers -Images and names of the various products in each section that customers can scroll through 3) Product Page - This will be the individual product page that customers get through when they click on a product in the shopping mall. - Product images - Buttons for customers to select size and color options (not drop down) -Price based on customer selection - Product details and description - Add to cart - Estimated Delivery 4) Payment / Checkout Page - Order Summary - Customer info/ shippined details etc. - Payment

We're looking for a fun website that is satisfying to look at and spend time on. We want our personality to come through. Engagement of the customers on the website is important and that needs to be done with the design of the website as well as with our products. We want a site that people would like to share with their friends.
