Think Smart
Think Smart is both a building group and an energy management consultancy. We are rebuilding our web presence in Concrete5, and would like to present details and photographs of our past and current projects on a clean modern site.
From the CEO:
"The company is very hands on, very personal, very attention- hands on driven, progressive, urban but far more apple than PC … hip, cool, current but classic …"
"I want an icon that reflects who we are … Smart means economical, communicative, good faith, good intentions , energy efficient …"
Both commercial and upscale residential owners who are interested in either updating their property with the latest in stylish high-end interiors or energy management.
The character limit on the requirement section is too low so I have placed our design ideas below.
Design:
We are looking for a somewhat minimal, clean, bright, young and professional design. Think, "more Apple than PC".
One design we quite like is http://greenhouseintl.com minus the leafy background. We like the design, look and feel of this site because it moves away from the corporate boxy look of many construction companies and more towards rounded corners on the nav, gradients, (perhaps shadows/reflections?) and minimalism. While the leafy background is too much, the site maintains cohesion with a single theme (the leaf) which persists in their navigation and icon set. We like the division of elements with whitespace, simple lines, very light backgrounded divs and difference of text-weight.
In icons, we would like similarly styled vector-based icons. The "leaf" is too overt, we would like to see a consistency in the icons which we can associate with the logo and ThinkSmart Construction and Energy.
Color palette:
The colors are white background with navy blue and steel gray.
