Foreign Policy Association
The Foreign Policy Association is the oldest non-profit in the U.S. dedicated to educating Americans about world affairs. Founded in the 1918, the FPA is fiercely independent and community driven. We provide major services to the international affairs community, such as career development, job postings, event listings and networking opportunities.
Our target audience is made up, broadly, of the international affairs community - including students and foreign affairs professionals. More specifically, our audience is made up of: High School Students; Graduate Students in International Affairs, Development Workers, Diplomats, Journalists, Non-Profit employees and Think Tank employees.
Our current design is better suited to an information heavy site for an older audience.
We want to move our focus from delivering long form content to delivering service information (job listings, event listings, career alerts, video) to a 30 something audience. We are looking for an updated web 2.0, clean design with plenty of white space, that moves toward a magazine style layout with rich user interface elements. The incorporation of media blocks, intro blocks and some large typography elements could be a plus too. Some form of data grid display is required to be incorporated.
The attached content wireframe will provide an idea of what information we would like to communicate on the homepage. Do not feel like you need to follow the layout in the wireframe, we will leave it up to you as to how we can most efficiently get across this information in a clean updated light design which is attractive to a 30 something audiences.
