We provide free education and training to empower poor women to Thailand to improve their lives through better career prospects. The web site's purpose is first to engage with existing and prospective donors, then to engage with existing and prospective volunteers.
The home page, besides its usual functions (good navigation to the rest of the site, introductory content including mission and who gets helped,), should have a strong call to action for donations as well. We like the idea of a light-box style overlay for this purpose, which we would customize as new campaigns are rolled out. That overlay should work on the other site's pages also.
The next page would be a template (I can manage different content types in Drupal) for typical mixed content pages, such as landing pages, press releases, news items, etc.
The final page template we need is a media gallery page, for showing photos/videos of recent events, etc. We would then link these to pages with more information (in some, not all cases).
Our "vibe" is scrappy and results-oriented. The foundation runs on a tight budget, as most of the program work (educational classes) are performed by volunteers. We "punch above our weight". It would be great if the design could reflect that.
Also, even though we will soon celebrate our 15th anniversary, we are still relatively unknown. We want the site to make people take notice and realize what an "unsung hero" the foundation is.
