You can see our existing site here: http://www.findsolar.com
We need to site to be cross-browser and cross-platform compatible. Due to this, we'd like no flash, would need to use standard fonts that work across browsers, and would like to avoid .png transparency if possible (IE6).
We'd like the site to be somewhat simple, not too fancy or distracting with design. Web 2.0 design is what we are looking for. Ideally, we'd like to stick with more of a light color scheme vs a dark and gloomy one (it is a renewable energy site after all).
We'd like the main focus of the page to be to find find a solar professional now. Allowing someone to enter a zip code, choose between residential/commercial, and hit Submit.
A main banner/header is necessary to show that the site is partnered with the American Solar Energy Society.
A nice and intuitive navigation structure is desired to allow users to easily browse our solar educational content.
The inclusion of the solar news and its sections is desirable.
The logo needs to remain the same. The use of the tag line is optional.
We need a comp for a page such as: http://www.findsolar.com/Content/So…bates.aspx
We'd like the page to maintain the same theme (look and feel) as the home page. We need breadcrumbs to allow users to get back to where they came from. We'd like the content to be easily readable.
